Fear of speaking with mike in hand is with me since I was a teenager.

Recently someone asked me to speak few words regarding the speaker in the business Meeting and I felt earth had moved under my feet.

I didn't even know how to hold a Mike and I wasn't even dressed properly. My shirt sleeves were rolled up which is not a proper way to dress in a meeting.

I uttered only three lines about the speaker and quickly ran towards the chair to avoid this awkward position.

Two things I learnt from this meeting.

1) Always come properly dressed in a meeting. First impression is the last impression. The irony is that topic on which speaker spoke was about dressing in a business meeting. 😁

2) Over prepare yourself when you are going to speak in front of people. When you speak effectively it creates long lasting impression upon people. I made a mistake of not collecting enough material to speak.
