Stop expecting and start living.

Expectations

We all are living in a time when fulfilling expectations has become a prime motto of our life. We think we are the center part of this universe, which shows how high we feel about ourselves. Let me tell you something; even our planet disappears one day suddenly, this universe will not even notice. Our world is just an incredibly tiny dot in this VAST universe. If our planet does not have importance, then how come we are so important?

Even if our beloved ones do not fulfill our small demands, we feel neglected. We give so much importance to our existence that we forget there are people around us who have their expectations from us.

We expect kindness from others; if someone speaks rudely to us, it just demoralizes us. I think we shouldn’t expect compassion from anyone as they are fighting with their demons, I don’t say there are no good souls, but most of us are not good enough to motivate everyone around. Sometimes even our parents say some hurtful things to us, and we get so offended that we even stop talking to them.

We want our partner, neighbor, parents, sibling, friends, and all our surrounding people to understand our feelings and contradictory we never pay heed to their expectations.

Most of the suicide cases in the world are increasing because people couldn’t fulfill their expectations. We should stop giving importance to our expectations and instead focus on living joyfully. Remember, we all are just a small actor in this grand play of nature.

By stop expecting, we are doing a service to humanity. Depression cases in the world will lessen if we all commit to one thing, i.e., stop creating unnecessary desires. I know humans can’t live without generating demands, but it shouldn’t overwhelm one’s life.

Tell me, what is the expectation of a toddler?
NOTHING.

Still, babies laugh and smile without any conditions attached to it. We must live like babies, then know the importance of LIFE and come out of the oblivion.

Society has conditioned us in a way that only fulfillment of our desire can make us happy and bring a smile to our face temporarily. Then we jump onto some other expectation and wait for it to complete to feel joyful again.
We must inculcate the habit of avoiding the unnecessary demands arising from our mind.

So, we must stop expecting and start living.
